Jazz 96, PISTONS 86: Donovan Mitchell scored 13 of his 28 points in a decisive first quarter, and the Jazz held on for a 96-86 victory over the Pistons. The Pistons were coming off an overtime win over Phoenix on Friday night in which they rallied from a 23-point deficit, but they couldn’t climb out of another big hole. Utah scored the game’s first nine points and never trailed.
CLIPPERS 130, Bulls 127: Kawhi Leonard scored a season-high 35 points, going over 10,000 in his career, and the Clippers rallied to beat the Bulls. Leonard reached the milestone on one of his five 3-pointers in the third quarter, when he scored 21 points.
Nuggets at KNICKS (late) : Julius Randle and the Knicks host Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets in a non-conference matchup. New York went 21-45 overall with a 11-22 record at home during the 2019-20 season. The Knicks allowed opponents to score 112.3 points per game and shoot 46.3% from the field last season.
Thunder at NETS (late) : Brooklyn hosts the Oklahoma City Thunder after Caris Levert scored 43 points in the Nets’ 115110 loss to the Grizzlies. Brooklyn went 35-37 overall with a 20-16 record at home a season ago.
Heat at CELTICS (late) : Boston looks to keep its four-game win streak going when the Celtics take on Miami. Boston finished 48-24 overall and 26-10 at home in the 2019-20 season. The Celtics allowed opponents to score 107.3 points per game and shoot 44.1% from the field last season.
Lakers at ROCKETS (late) : Los Angeles will try to keep its four-game road win streak intact when the Lakers take on Houston. Houston finished 44-28 overall and 24-12 at home a season ago. The Rockets averaged 117.8 points per game while allowing opponents to score 114.8 last season.
Spurs at T-WOLVES (late) : San Antonio will look to keep its three-game win streak alive when the Spurs take on Minnesota. Minnesota finished 19-45 overall and 8-24 at home during the 2019-20 season.
Raptors at WARRIORS (late) : Fred Vanvleet and the Toronto Raptors visit Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in non-conference play. Golden State finished 15-50 overall with an 8-26 record at home in the 2019-20 season.
