SOMERVILLE - Charles W. Hall, 87, formerly of Somerville TN, passed away on February 15, 2021.

Charles was born on December 16, 1933 in Memphis TN to Lewis B. and Audrey (Naramore) Hall. He attended Hollywood School, Germantown High School, and Memphis Technical High School. Charles served in U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 including serving in Korea, 40th Infantry Division, Heavy Mortar Company.

While in the Army, he met his wife Jo Ann (Holloway) Hall through church correspond­ence. They were married July 2, 1955.

After military, Charles attended Memphis State College. His career includes five years in Southern California working as an electrical systems assembly analyst which included working on projects for the Apollo space program. In later years, Charles also worked in constructi­on management on many projects in the South.

Charles was predecease­d by his wife, Jo Ann (Holloway) Hall, parents - Lewis and Audrey (Naramore) Hall, and three brothers - Robert L. Hall, Carroll Burton Hall and Larry E. Hall.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan V. Hall (Christi) of Germantown, two grandchild­ren, Austin Hall (Katelyn) of Southaven, MS, Carly Schumacher (Seth) of Athens, AL, one great grandchild, Maverick C. Hall of Southaven, sisters Scharlene Berry of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Barbara Petree (Paul) of North Richland Hills, Texas.

He was a member of church of Christ and enjoyed fellowship with family and many church friends. He was an avid fan of University of Memphis football and basketball.

Services to celebrate Charles’ life will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, February 25th at 11:30 am with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Graveside service to follow.
