Brewers at CLEVELAND, late: Lorenzo Cain hit a grand slam to cap a six-run fifth inning, Eduardo Escobar homered from both sides of the plate and Milwaukee moved closer to the NL Central title, beating Cleveland 10-3 on Friday.

Nationals at PIRATES, late: Ke’bryan Hayes capped off a ninth-inning rally with an RBI single as Pittsburgh slipped past Washington 4-3 on Friday. The Pirates trailed 3-2 going into the ninth.

Angels at ASTROS, late: Shohei Ohtani hit his major league-leading 44th home run, but got tagged by José Altuve, Alex Bregman and Houston in a 10-5 over Los Angeles on Friday. Ohtani (9-2) had been 8-0 in his last 13 starts.

Royals at TWINS, late: Andrew Benintendi had four hits and two home runs, the last a two-run shot in the 11th to send Kansas City to a 6-4 victory over Minnesota on Friday night.

Reds at CARDINALS, late: Jose Barrero made the most of an unexpected start by doubling in the tiebreakin­g run in the ninth inning, leading Cincinnati over St. Louis 4-2 Friday. Barrero was recalled from Triple-a Louisville.

Marlins at BRAVES, late: Jorge Soler had a two-run single during a five-run fifth, Ian Anderson tied a career high with nine strikeouts and Atlanta beat Miami 6-2 on Friday. The comeback win was the Braves’ 35th this season.

Yankees at METS, late: Rookie Tylor Megill struck out a career-high 10 and the Mets took advantage of a string of mistakes by the reeling Yankees to rout their Bronx rival 10-3 Friday night.

Padres at DODGERS, late: Julio Urías pitched seven shutout innings for his major league-leading 17th victory, Max Muncy slugged a two-run homer and Los Angeles beat San Diego 3-0 on Friday night to snap a two-game skid.

D-backs at MARINERS, late: Tom Murphy hit a two-run home run in the second inning and added a solo shot in the sixth, and Seattle beat Arizona 5-4 on Friday night.
