Here’s a look at promotions, hirings, movers and newsmakers in the Memphis area business scene: The nation’s oldest continuously operating African American-owned and
-operated bank, Citizens
Savings Bank and Trust Company, promoted two of its executives to senior vice president: Joan Fleming-ridley, vice president, Residential Lending and Community Development, and Clint Story, vice president, Business Relations. Fleming-ridley and Story are members of the executive leadership team and veterans at the bank having served nearly a combined 40 years at the institution. Fleming-ridley joined Citizens Savings Bank and Trust Company in 2010. She is responsible for all mortgage operations including originations, processing, underwriting and administrative functions. Story
began in 1995 as a banking officer in commercial lending. He provides credit analysis on commercial loans to businesses, nonprofits and churches. Firstbank has two new members on its staff as John Price recently joined as Financial Center Manager and Thomas Carlisle has been named a Relationship Manager. Both will be located at the Memphis Travure Financial Center.
Price joins Firstbank with nearly eight years in the banking industry, previously as market manager at a local bank specializing in commercial lending. Carlisle comes to Firstbank with 13 years in the banking industry, previously as a local commercial lender.
Trustmark Corporation announced Michael A. “Mike” King, senior vice president, has been named General Counsel for Trustmark National Bank. He most recently served as Trustmark’s Senior Legal Counsel and has more than 30 years of experience in the legal and banking industry with Trustmark. King received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Mississippi College School. Reynolds Bone & Griesbeck recently promoted Brandon Mclarty and
Hunter Wooley within it ranks. Mclarty completed an internship at the firm in 2018 before joining the staff full time in 2019. He earned his master’s degree in accounting from the University of
Mississippi. Wooley also began as an intern, working in the audit department in 2019 before joining the full-time staff in 2020. With their promotions, Mclarty and Wooley take on the role of senior, with Mclarty serving in the tax department and Wooley serving in the audit department. Wooley earned his master’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi.
Saint Francis Healthcare named Matthew Brooks as Market Chief Strategy Officer, a role in which he will guide strategic development for Saint Francis-memphis and Saint Francis-bartlett. He has served as director of Strategy for Saint Francis-memphis since May 2021. Brooks holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington.
Saint Francis Hospital-memphis recently appointed Cameron Murphy as
Chief Nursing Officer after serving in the role on an interim basis since November 2021. Before coming to Saint Francis, she served as national director of Clinical Operations with Tenet Healthcare in Farmers Branch, Texas. Murphy earned a master’s degree in Nursing Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington.
The Tennessee Business Roundtable in Nashville announced the election of nine directors to lead the organization in creating and promoting pro-business policies that support the long-term success of Tennessee’s economy and people. Leading the Roundtable’s 2022 board will be Baptist Memorial Health Care’s Keith Norman, elected as its chair. Norman, who serves as Vice President/chief Government Affairs and Community Relations Officer for Baptist, previously served the Roundtable as its elected Regional Vice President for West Tennessee. Turner Construction Company’s Memphis office has a new Business Development Manager with the hiring of David Bradford. He earned his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State
University. Previously, Bradford served as Principal at Smith Seckman Reid Memphis office, overseeing mechanical, electrical and plumbing operations. He’s finishing his first term as Shelby County Commissioner for District 2, with plans to run for a second term this spring. Bradford is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
