Toppin leads Knicks to rout of Wizards

Knicks 114, Wizards 92: Obi Toppin scored a career-high 35 points, and visiting New York beat Washington on Friday night.

RJ Barrett scored 14 points for the Knicks before leaving the game with a sprained right knee. His early exit came on a night when a number of key players from both teams didn’t play at all. Both teams are eliminated from playoff contention.

Rui Hachimura led the Wizards with 21 points. Immanuel Quickley had 23 points and 10 assists for New York.

Bucks 131, Pistons 101: Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had 30 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists to help visiting Milwaukee rout Detroit.

Rodney Mcgruder had a career-high 26 points for Detroit. Saddiq Bey (20) and Cade Cunningham (14) were the only starters to reach double figures.

Nets 118, Cavaliers 107: Kevin Durant scored 36 points, leading a pair of fourth-quarter surges that carried host Brooklyn into a tie for seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a victory over Cleveland.

Darius Garland scored 31 points for the Cavaliers, who dropped their third straight.

Raptors 117, Rockets 115: Pascal Siakam had 29 points and 10 rebounds, Gary Trent Jr. made the winning layup with 4.8 seconds left and host Toronto beat Houston.

Trent added 26 points for the Raptors in their home finale. With one game left in the regular season, they will be no worse than the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.

Kevin Porter Jr. had 35 points and 10 rebounds for Houston. Josh Anderson added 20 points.

Hornets 133, Bulls 117: Lamelo Ball scored 24 points and visiting Charlotte buried Chicago early in a victory.

The Hornets — 10th in the Eastern Conference and a game behind Brooklyn and Atlanta coming in – barely broke a sweat in this one.

Zach Lavine led the Bulls with 23 points. Coby White scored 19. Demar Derozan added 17 points.

Heat 113, Hawks 109: Bam Adebayo made the go-ahead dunk with 27 seconds remaining and scored 27 points in host Miami’s comeback victory over Atlanta.

Jimmy Butler added 20 points, Kyle Lowry finished with 16 points and Tyler Herro had 15 for the Heat.

Trae Young scored 35 points for Atlanta.

Mavericks 127, Trail Blazers 78: Luka Doncic had 39 points, 11 rebounds and his 16th technical foul of the season for host Dallas, who will open the playoffs at home for the first time since 2011 after their victory over Portland.

The Mavericks will play their regularsea­son finale Sunday without Doncic, unless the technical foul is rescinded by the NBA office. If upheld, his 16th of the season means an automatic one-game suspension.

Drew Eubanks had 18 points and Ben Mclemore 14 for the Trail Blazers.

Lakers 120, Thunder 101: Stanley Johnson scored a season-high 21 points and Los Angeles beat Oklahoma City to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Wenyen Gabriel added 16 points as the Lakers wrapped up the home portion of their dismal season with their first win since March 21 despite playing without Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony.

Jaylen Hoard had a career-high 27 points and 17 rebounds for the Thunder.

Suns 111, Jazz 105: Devin Booker scored 33 points and the Nba-leading Phoenix Suns overcame a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Utah Jazz 111-105 on Friday night.

Deandre Ayton sealed the victory off a pass from Chris Paul with 18.4 seconds left. Ayton had 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Paul had 16 points and 16 assists to help the Suns extend their franchise record with their 64th victory.

Mikal Bridges added 18 points, capping a 14-0 Phoenix run in the fourth quarter to tie it at 98. His dunk and three-point play with 46 seconds remaining gave the Suns a 107-102 lead.

The Jazz didn’t score a field goal for almost seven minutes in the fourth quarter. Utah has lost 16 games where it held double-digit leads this season.
