One 11 Madison is Downtown Memphis’ newest event venue.
The event space — located at 111 Madison Ave., hence its name — features three different floors for private dining and events.
The first floor boasts 18-foot ceilings, velvet-tufted booths and a welcoming bar. Head upstairs to the second floor for a more intimate setting that includes a small stage, as well as roll-up cabanastyle windows. The third floor, which will open in 2023, will be a cigar bar lounge.
One 11 Madison is a venture from Ideal Investments, a real estate company owned by siblings Christyn Breckenridge, Frankey Anderson, Dewayne Breckenridge and Matthew Breckenridge.
“We all grew up in real estate thanks to our father,” Christyn said. “We bought the building in 2015 as a family.”
She explained that originally the property was to be her parents’ retirement plan, but their father passed away last summer. “We are making it a reality thanks to the knowledge he gave us,” Christyn said.
She said the 5,200-square-foot building has been completely transformed. The siblings have created a chic modern space, while preserving some of the original elements (such as the exposed brick walls on the second level) of the historic building built in the early 1900s.
“We wanted to be a source within the city to bring people’s inspirations to reality,” Christyn said. “From book signings to special events to private dinners.”
Breckenridge said One 11 Madison will have a preferred vendor list that includes what she calls “the best of the best” for event services.
The capacity for each floor is approximately 125 guests. Fifer & Associates and Anderson Contractors did the building renovations.
One 11 Madison will be open to the public for event rentals starting in middecember.
