Move over, pumpkin spice. It’s peppermint’s time to shine. With a wintry chill creeping into the air, some national chains have announced the return of their holiday-themed food and drink menus, including the beloved peppermint milkshakes. One of the most wellknown is from Chik-fil-a, which first introduced its seasonal Peppermint Chip Milkshake in 2008.

Here’s when and where you can get a peppermint milkshake this winter.

Chik-fil-a

Chik-fil-a brought back its limitedtime Peppermint Chip Milkshake on Nov. 14. The chain saw orders of the holiday treat peak last year, a press statement said. On Monday, Chik-fil-a will also reintroduce its Chicken Tortilla Soup. Both items will be available until Jan. 7, or while supplies last.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers’ new Oreo Cookie Peppermint Shake is available now through Jan. 3, or while supplies last.

Starbucks

Though not technically a milkshake, Starbucks unveiled its Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino, along with the rest of its holiday menu, on Nov. 3.

The donut chain brought back its holiday menu on Nov. 2. The slew of items includes the Peppermint Mocha Signature Latte, which can be ordered hot or iced.

Wendy’s

At Wendy’s, a new peppermint Frosty debuted on its menu Nov. 15.

Brands to watch for

Burger King debuted its Peppermint Oreo Shake in 2018. Last November, Steak ‘n Shake brought back its Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake. Neither of the brands have made any holiday menu announcements yet.

Graeter’s Ice Cream will unveil its seasonal Peppermint Stick ice cream in late November or early December, according to its website.
