Suns get All-star Kevin Durant in trade with Nets

-

PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns pulled a midnight blockbuster on Wednesday, acquiring 13-time All-star Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets, according to multiple reports.

The outlets, citing unnamed sources, said the Suns added Durant to a starting lineup that already includes an All-star backcourt of Chris Paul and Devin Booker, along with center Deandre Ayton.

Phoenix sent Cam Johnson, Mikal

Bridges, Jae Crowder, four first-round picks and additional draft compensation to the Nets.

The Suns also receive forward T.J. Warren in the deal.

The 34-year-old Durant is still playing at an elite level, averaging nearly 30 points per game this season. Durant and the Suns were linked to trade rumors over the past summer, but nothing materialized until Wednesday.

The trade comes just hours after new Suns majority owner Mat Ishbia was introduced in Phoenix.

Tennis player banned for life for 135 match-fixing offenses

LONDON — A former tennis player from Morocco was banned for life Thursday after being found guilty of 135 match-fixing offenses.

It is the highest number of match-fixing offenses by one person detected in the sport, the International Tennis Integrity Agency said.

Younes Rachidi, who had a highest doubles ranking of No. 473, has been banned from ever playing in, coaching at or attending any tennis event sanctioned by governing bodies the ATP and WTA.

He was also fined $34,000. Independent anti-corruption hearing officer Janie Soublière ruled that all charges against the 36-year-old Rachidi were proven.

The International Tennis Integrity Agency said Rachidi was involved in match-fixing with two Algerian players who were recently banned following investigations in Belgium.
