Page Ellen Miller Blankinship

-

Page Miller Blankinship, a strong-willed spirit who lived life by her own rules, sometimes tempting fate flitting from feats to frolics, sometimes providing safe havens for kindred souls, died on March 1.

A Memphis-native, Page was born to Dr. Richard Braun Miller and Katherine Fields Miller on April 7, 1955. Page attended St. Agnes and Hutchison before graduating from White Station High School (WSHS). She enrolled at Peabody College and later transferred to Memphis State, where she graduated magna cum laude. After earning her Master’s in English, Page found her educator home at WSHS teaching English, Latin, Etymology, and Mythology and, in the role she held dearest, supervising The Scroll, WSHS’S newspaper. Page’s razor sharp wit shined nowhere brighter than in her writing. And as a teacher, she instilled within hundreds a similar passion for words and love of story-telling—stories in which her legacy will forever live.

Page was preceded in death by her father, Richard Braun Miller; mother, Katherine Fields Miller; and son Marshall Braun Drake. Page is survived by her son, William Holt Burnett; daughter, Katherine Fields Blankinship; sister, Katye Lauletti, brothers—robert Miller, John Miller, Michael Miller—and grandson, Holden Burnett.

“I went through many trials, glories, and changes in my life and character, such is life” ~PMB

May Page find her home amongst the stars so lovely. May she once again embrace her son, who left us far too early. May she find peace, finally flying pain-free.

A graveside service will be held on March 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Cavalry Cemetery, directly followed by a reception. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Imagination Library (https://imaginationlibrary.com/ letter-from-dolly/) or Binghampton Development Corporation (https://choose901.com/connect/ bdc/).
