Super 25 rankings entering 3rd week of playoffs

The Battle of the Boro Part II may have just gotten bigger.

Oakland (10-2) and Riverdale (10-2) enter the Class 6A state quarterfin­als at Tomahawk Stadium tied for eighth in the Tennessee Super 25 high school football rankings. It's the biggest game regarding two ranked teams in the state.

Riverdale beat Oakland in Week 11, winning 25-24, to secure the Region 3-6A championsh­ip. They meet Friday with the winner reaching the Class 6A state semifinals.

High school sports writers from the USA TODAY Sports Network vote each week on the top 25 football programs in Tennessee. First-place votes are in parenthese­s. Each first-place vote receives 25 points; each second-place vote receives 24 points, on down to No. 25, which receives one point.
