Zaxby’s is coming to East Memphis: Here’s where and when
A notable fast casual chicken chain is set to bring a new pickup-only location to East Memphis.
Zaxby’s, known for serving chicken wings, chicken fingers, sandwiches and salads, is planning to open a 2,400square-foot, to-go-only concept on Monday, Dec. 11, at 436 Perkins Ext. The to-goonly Zaxby’s is owned and operated by Memphis Foods, LLC.
Jeremy Gattie is the operator of Memphis Foods, LLC, and owner of the franchisee Zaxby’s restaurants in the Memphis area. He acknowledged that bringing a location to East Memphis has been a goal for a long time.
“We’re thrilled to serve both new and loyal Zaxby’s guests with our first ever Zaxby’s location in the East Memphis neighborhood,” Gattie said in a news release. “With the opening of our 10th store in Shelby County and two more in the planning phase, this marks a significant chapter in our journey.”
The to-go-only location will be equipped with double drive-thru lines for patrons, along with new digital menu boards, a payment window as well as a drive-thru delivery door for quicker pay and pickup. The new Zaxby’s also will have a walk-up window for guests to place takeout orders.
The new restaurant will look to hire and staff more than 40 employees. Those interested can go online at workthecoop.com to apply for available positions.
Memphis-based general contractor Dimension Construction built the new restaurant. The other Zaxby’s to-go-only restaurant is located at 1831 Kirby Parkway in Memphis. It debuted as Zaxby’s first to-go-only location.
Zaxby’s, which is headquartered in Athens, Georgia, has than 900 locations in 17 states.
