AUSTIN, Texas – Jada Walker scored 19 points and No. 10 Baylor opened Big 12 conference play Saturday with an 85-79 win over No. 5 Texas, which played its first game without injured point guard Rori Harmon.

The Bears (12-0, 1-0) also got 18 points and eight rebounds from Dre'una Edwards. Baylor has won 14 in a row at Texas (13-1, 0-1) in a rivalry that won't see as many matchups once the Longhorns leave for the Southeastern Conference after this season.

Walker scored eight consecutive points in one stretch of the third quarter.

Texas freshman Madison Booker had 25 points, eight assists and seven rebounds in taking over the pointguard duties for Harmon, who was lost for the season when she tore a knee ligament in practice this week.

No. 4 Iowa 94, Minnesota 71: Caitlin Clark became the Big Ten's all-time assist leader and host Iowa beat Minnesota.

Clark had 10 assists, giving her 904 in her career. She also scored 35 points.

Hannah Stuelke added 19 points for Iowa (13-1, 2-0 Big Ten), which is on a 10-game winning streak. That's the program's longest streak since the 2004-05 team opened the season with 13 consecutive wins.

Clark, who recorded her sixth double-double of the season and 49th of her career, moved into fifth place alltime on the NCAA Division I career scoring list with 3,149 points.

She also became the first Division I player – man or woman – to have 3,000-plus points, 900 or more assists and 800 or more rebounds in a career.

Amaya Battle had 16 points for Minnesota (11-2, 1-1). Mara Braun had 15 points and Sophie Hart added 13.

Michigan 69, No. 17 Ohio State 60: Laila Phelia scored a career-high 26 points and host Michigan pulled away in the fourth quarter to upset rival Ohio State.

Phelia hit a 3-pointer and Lauren Hansen, a graduate transfer from Missouri who finished with 17 points, made a pair of layups in a 9-0 run that gave the Wolverines a 60-51 lead with 2:48 to play.

Ohio State made just three of its last 11 shots in the final five minutes.

Elissa Brett, a grad transfer from Bowling Green who had 10 points, made four free throws and Hansen made three in the final minute for the Wolverines.

Jordan Hobbs added 11 points for Michigan (11-2, 2-0 Big Ten Conference), which made 8 of 12 shots and 9 of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Celeste Taylor scored 16 points to lead Ohio State (10-3, 1-1) and Taylor Thierry scored 15, but just six after the first quarter. Rikki Harris added 10 points.

No. 1 South Carolina 73, East Carolina 36: Kamilla Cardoso had 12 points and 10 rebounds and South Carolina blew the game open in the second quarter to beat host East Carolina.

Freshman Milaysia Fulwiley added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Gamecocks (12-0) in their final test before jumping into Southeastern Conference play.

Things didn't go completely smoothly, notably with a cold-shooting start that included plenty of missed layups and a game's worth of empty trips to the foul line.

Yet the defense overpowered the Pirates (7-4) and locked up ECU top scorer Danae Mcneal early. Once shots started falling for South Carolina, the lead steadily grew against a team struggling to find much space to operate.

South Carolina missed 15 of its first 20 shots before Te-hina Paopao knocked down her second 3-pointer of the second quarter, the start of a game-deciding 15-1 run.

ECU went four minutes without a basket as the Gamecocks stretched the lead to 34-13 on Sania Feagin's runout layup.

South Carolina shot 41% for the game and made just 18 of 34 free throws.

Mcneal, averaging 19.5 points, missed her first eight shots while seeing constant attention for multiple defenders before finishing with five points on 2-for-16 shooting. Amiya Joyner scored 10 points to lead ECU, which lost point guard Micah Dennis to first-quarter knee injury.

ECU shot just 19% and had as many turnovers as made baskets (13).
