Wysocki named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
The senior was named MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 2 and ECAC South Region Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 4 after leading the 5-6 Arcadia field hockey team to a pair of victories the previous week. She tallied the game-winner in a 1-0 overtime victory over Delaware Valley on Sept. 26 and then had a three-goal hat trick in a 9-0 victory over Hood in the MAC opener Sept. 30 in Reading. Wysocki scored the first three goals of the game in a span of 12 minutes.
The senior is a top defender on the Albright women’s soccer team, the Lions 5-5-1 overall and 0-1-1 after a 0-0 tie with No. 11-ranked Messiah in a MAC Freedom game on Oct. 3 in Reading. Saxon has a goal and an assist and both came in a 2-1 victory over FDU-Florham on Sept. 26. The team has given up just 10 goals with five shutouts. Saxon has played in 68 games and started 67 on defense in her career with the Lions and has chipped in with two goals and four assists for eight points during that time.
The senior is a key performer on defense for the unbeaten Delaware Valley football team. He has 20 tackles, including 16 solos and 3.5 for losses of 15 yards, and a forced fumble giving the 5-foot-9, 175-pound back 82 tackles (70 unassisted) in 35 career games. The Aggies are 5-0 and have outscored foes 179-50 including a 27-7 victory over Stevenson on Sept. 23 and a 60-7 triumph over FDU-Florham on Sept. 30. It also included a 34-3 victory over Lycoming on Sept. 9.
The freshman has played in all 10 games and started eight for the Gwynedd Mercy women’s soccer team, the Griffins 5-4-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference after a 4-0 league victory over Neumann on Oct. 3. Reitmeyer collected her first collegiate points when she had a goal and an assist in a 9-0 victory over Cairn and scored a goal in a 3-2 triumph over Keystone. Senior Anna Numerato (Methacton) has played in seven games with four starts on defense for the Griffins.
The freshman has started the last four games on defense for the 4-9 Kent State field hockey team. Overall, she’s played in all 13 games with five starts and was in the lineup when the Golden Flashes battled No. 4-ranked Penn State on Oct. 1 in Kent, OH. Kent trailed 3-2 at the half before losing 5-3. Bonetz started in a 3-2 loss to Richmond on Sept. 23, a 2-0 triumph over St. Louis on Sept. 24 and a 1-0 Mid-American Conference loss to Miami on Sept. 29.
