The Corner Shoppe offers free Artisan Demos

Includes Glass blowing, Crocheting, and Gourd birdhouse painting

The Corner Shoppe will host several artisan demonstrat­ions in the upcoming weeks which are free for anyone to attend.

Nov. 1, 11-2 Glass blowing demo

Nov. 6, 12-3 Crocheting demo, including a free crocheted item for anyone who makes a purchase during the demo

Nov. 8, 11-2 Gourd birdhouse painting demo

These artisan demos are part of The Montgomery County Best Kept Secrets Tour, which is a tour of gift shops, garden centers and cafes throughout the county that goes through November 10, 2018.

You do not have to purchase a ticket for the tour to view the demonstrat­ions. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at The Corner Shoppe. For more informatio­n on the tour or the demos contact The Corner Shoppe at 610 3676884.

The Corner Shoppe is a gift shop serving our local area for over 20 years and representi­ng dozens of local artists, carrying fair trade and recycled items as well as unique jewelry, home décor and antiques. The shop is housed in a restored 1850’s Colonial Revival home at the intersecti­ons of Philadelph­ia Ave, Swamp Pike, Route 73 (Big Road) and Gilbertsvi­lle Rd., across from the Gilbertsvi­lle Post Office. A 1920’s era Sunoco gas station is also part of the shop and contains gifts for men. The shop is located at 1500 East Philadelph­ia Ave. in Gilbertsvi­lle, 19525.
