NORRISTOWN >> A West Pottsgrove man’s illegal drug activity in the township and in Pottstown has ended with his being sent to prison.

Frederick LeCount Jr., 44, of the first block of West Vine Street, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 2-to-6-years in a state correctional facility after he pleaded guilty to charges of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver synthetic cannabinoids in connection with multiple incidents that occurred in West Pottsgrove and the borough between June and October 2017.

The sentence was imposed by Judge Steven T. O’Neill, who accepted a plea agreement.

Court documents indicate an investigation of LeCount began in June 2017 when an informant working with police arranged to purchase synthetic cannabinoids from LeCount. The informant met with LeCount on at least three occasions between June and July at locations in the borough and LeCount sold the informant the synthetic drugs in exchange for cash, according to the criminal complaint.
