Craft Fair: The Sanatoga Fire Com­pany Aux­il­iary will hold a craft fair Satur­day, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sanatoga Fire Com­pany, 2222 E. High St., Sanatoga. The event will fea­ture crafts, baked goods and home made soups. Lunch will be served.

Adop­tion and Fos­ter Care In­for­ma­tion Ses­sion: Di­akon Adop­tion & Fos­ter Care will present a free in­for­ma­tional ses­sion on adop­tion and child and youth fos­ter care Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. at Manatawny Manor, 30 Old Schuylkill Road, Pottstown. Di­akon staff will ex­plain fos­ter par­ent­ing, as well as the pro­cesses in­volved in adopt­ing or fos­ter­ingto-adopt a child or youth. Pottstown Area Artists Guild

Talk: The Pottstown Area Artists Guild will spon­sor a talk by artist Lisa Muller Tues­day, Nov. 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Boyer Gallery at The Hill School Cen­ter For The Arts, 760 Beech St., Pottstown. Muller will talk a lit­tle about the tran­si­tion from ce­ram­ics to paint­ing ad­dress­ing tech­nique, ma­te­ri­als and con­cept. She will share im­ages of the twist­ing path a paint­ing takes on its way to com­ple­tion. Ideas of mess mak­ing, ge­om­e­try, the gift of blind al­leys, ac­ci­den­tal mean­ing, and fluc­tu­at­ing con­fi­dence in the process will come up, along with the im­por­tance of meth­ods that in­sure the un­ex­pected. This event is free and open to the pub­lic.


Pottstown Area Gar­den Club: meets on the first Fri­day of each month at St. James Lutheran Church, 1101 E. PMMC Of­fer­ing Free Child Care Safety Check: Pottstown Me­mo­rial Med­i­cal Cen­ter is of­fer­ing free car seat safety checks on the third Fri­day of ev­ery month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Good­will Am­bu­lance Com­pany, 714 E. Cel­e­brate Re­cov­ery: The new­est min­istry at Hopewell Com­mu­nity Church, 1130 Com­merce Drive, Pottstown, will “Cel­e­brate Re­cov­ery” through meet­ings ev­ery Wed­nes­day at 7 p.m. Cel­e­brate Re­cov­ery deals with Hurts, Hang Ups, and yes Habits. It is a twelve step pro­gram, un­like other pro­grams we know who our “higher power” is, the one and only God and it is bib­li­cally based. We will honor Je­sus and Praise Him.
