St. Michael’s do­nates food to Sal­va­tion Army for the hol­i­days

POTTSTOWN >> Sev­eral needy fam­i­lies in the Pottstown area will eat bet­ter dur­ing the hol­i­days thanks to St. Michael’s Ukra­nian Catholic Church.

Vol­un­teer Rose Mary said the church’s pas­tor, The Rev. Ihor Royik, sug­gested the church do a food drive for the hol­i­days.

“We’re a small church, but we col­lected food do­na­tions for two or three weeks,” Mary said of the church on West Wal­nut Street.

The food was de­liv­ered Wed­nes­day, Dec. 19, to The Sal­va­tion Army in Pottstown for dis­tri­bu­tion.
