Reading Hospital on World’s Best Hospitals list
Reading Hospital ranked 92nd on Newsweek’s 2021 list of World’s Best Hospitals.
The hospital was also recognized with the Best Hospitals for Infection Prevention award.
The list and award presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., a statistics portal and industry ranking provider, recognize the best medical institutions across 25 countries. Using a complex methodology to ensure the quality and validity of the ranking, Newsweek and Statista use three data sources for the evaluation.
The sources included hospital recommendations from peers using an international online survey; patient experience using surveys measuring patient satisfaction; and medical key performance indicators including patient safety, hygiene measures and quality of treatment.
“I am extremely proud of the Reading Hospital team members for receiving this recognition,” said William M. Jennings, Reading Hospital
President and CEO, in a press release. “Awards and recognitions like this serve as an important reminder that their hard work and dedication to providing high-quality care is being recognized locally and also at a national level.”
Reading Hospital also recently earned the Healthgrades 2021 America’s 100 Best Hospitals Award for the fifth consecutive year.
