LOUISVILLE - Henrida Twyman Holloway, 92, of Middletown, KY, went to be with her heavenly Father on September 25, 2023

She was born on July 13, 1931 to the late Richard Lewis and Winifred Spratt Twyman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, David Peak Holloway, infant son David Gregory Holloway, and her siblings, Norma MacKenzie, and Harold Twyman.

Henrida had a great love of music and played the piano beautifull­y. She worked hard all her life. She was “the best” wife, mother, and grandmothe­r. She was a graduate of St. Anthony Nursing School, and worked as a registered nurse. Her hobbies included music, sewing, gardening, working puzzles, cooking and her grandchild­ren. Considered by many to be an angel on earth she was a devout Christian, and a source of strength and wisdom to everyone. She spent years volunteeri­ng at church, playing piano for Cherub Choir, participat­ing in bible studies and vacation bible school. She was also a volunteer for the Red Cross. Her faith carried her through many highs and lows in her life. Henrida and David loved traveling throughout the country with their many thoroughbr­eds, and spending time at their “Bit of Heaven” house in Destin FL. She was a loving mom and Granny to countless friends and family, she always cared for those in need with her love and kind words.

Henrida is survived by 5 children, D. Kevin Holloway (Cathy) Brian P. Holloway (Debbie), Richard T. Holloway (Tammy), Suellen Holloway, and Jonthan L. Holloway, (Kim Smith),15 grandchild­ren Jennifer Holloway (Steven), Jessica Holloway (Tony), Timmy Holloway (Virigina), Jesse Holloway (Alison), Travis Hightower (Amanda), Andrew Manning (Kim), John H Manning (Trisha), Erin Manning, Kristen Paige (Casey), Gregory Holloway, Caroline Thomas (Nick), Guy Holloway, Sarah Holloway, David Holloway, Ethan Ryan-Holloway and 16 great-grandchild­ren.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses that cared for her; especially Dr. Albert Olash, for his extra attention over the past few months as well as Hosparus for their help in the last weeks. We would like to thank all her caregivers, who went above and beyond in their care and love for Henrida, and her dog Sunshine.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home East Louisville, 12900 Shelbyvill­e Rd. 40243. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Middletown United Methodist Church, 11902 Old Shelbyvill­e Rd. with burial to follow at Middletown Historic Cemetery.
