The Louisville Ballet has announced a “First Class” performance titled “502” set to the hits of Grammy-nominated Louisville native Jack Harlow.

This world premiere features acclaimed choreographer Ching Ching Wong set to a soundtrack of Harlow’s music for a one-of-a-kind integration of local ballet and contemporary music. The performance will be part of the Louisville Ballet’s 2024-25 season, which will be announced later this spring.

“We are excited to bring this unique collaboration to our audience,” said Louisville Ballet Artistic Director, Harald Uwe Kern, in a statement. “By partnering with Jack Harlow and Ching Ching Wong, we are able to bring a fusion of innovative forces together.”

This isn’t the first time Harlow has been linked with Louisville Ballet. Last summer The Jack Harlow Foundation chipped in $50,000 amid a $3 million fundraising effort to stabilize the organization following the COVID-19 pandemic. The rapper said in a Facebook post at the time that he desperately wants the ballet “remain a staple in Louisville’s creative ecosystem.”

Louisville Ballet CEO Leslie Smart said Harlow’s dedication to the ballet is heartwarming.

“As a hometown hero, he understands the importance of the fifth oldest ballet company in the country, and we are immensely grateful for his commitment to us,” Smart said in a statement.

This performance comes on the heels of Harlow announcing his two-day Gazebo Festival, which takes place May 25-26 at Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville. Harlow will co-headline the event with SZA. The line-up also features 26 acts across two stages.

Harlow is currently riding high on the success of his latest single “Lovin on Me,” which was released in November and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
