Harlow announces shoe line, prepares for festival

Louisville native Jack Harlow has been the talk of the town lately, with a recent appearance at the 150th Kentucky Derby and his upcoming performanc­e at Gazebo Festival, slated for Memorial Day weekend.

Harlow, who’s headlining the event at Louisville’s Waterfront Park with SZA, launched the event to replace the city’s former Forecastle Festival, but that’s not all the celebrity is working on.

According to an Instagram post from Harlow on Monday, he is currently working on a shoe collaborat­ion with New Balance.

The announceme­nt followed the shoe being leaked on various forms of social media prior. KicksFinde­r posted to X on Sunday, formerly Twitter, with photos of the New Balance 1906R sneakers.

The pink and green shoes feature a lush floral print and insoles of an elegantly dressed man and woman, which fans speculate could be a reference to his hometown’s Kentucky Derby.

The release date and item price are currently unavailabl­e.

Jack Harlow’s relationsh­ip with New Balance

Harlow’s favorite shoe brand is New Balance. According to a 2021 article from The Courier Journal, Harlow’s goto shoe for daily wear are the gray 990s sneakers. He had been wearing them since high school and is now sponsored by the company, frequently getting new pairs of his favorite sneakers. Harlow also appeared in a New Balance campaign in 2023.

Derby at Churchill Downs and was spotted chatting with the Mayor of Louisville, Craig Greenberg, on the red carpet, as previously reported by The Courier Journal. He also attended in 2023.

Jack Harlow and SZA to headline Gazebo Festival, new Louisville event

Harlow announced the launch of Gazebo Festival at Louisville’s Waterfront Park earlier this year. Slated for May 2526, the two-day festival will feature 26 acts on two stages, including SZA, James Blake (DJ Set), Omar Apollo, Vince Staples and more.

Tickets are available for purchase with some proceeds going to the Jack Harlow Foundation, which supports various community organizati­ons across Louisville. In 2023, the foundation distribute­d more than $500,000 in funds and donations. To learn more, click here.
