Pennsylvan­ia COVID update,

Elk County reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 2,362 to 2,364.

Both of Elk County’s latest cases were confirmed cases. The St. Marys zip code of 15857 reported an increase of two new confirmed cases and a decrease of one probable case. The zip code has now reported 564 confirmed cases and 478 probable cases. The Weedville zip code of 15868 reported the addition of one new probable case. The zip code has now reported 68 confirmed cases and 43 probable cases.

Of Elk County’s 2,364 total cases of COVID-19, 1,256 have been confirmed cases and 1,108 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 5,605 negative tests.

McKean County reported four new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 3,092 to 3,096.

Two of McKean County’s latest cases were confirmed cases and the other two were probable cases. No new cases were in the Kane zip code of 16735. One new confirmed case and one new probable case were in the Bradford zip code of 16701, which has now reported 992 confirmed cases and 176 probable cases. One new probable case was in the Smethport zip code of 16749, which has now reported 293 confirmed cases and 41 probable cases. One new confirmed case was in the Port Allegany zip code of 16743, which has now reported 208 confirmed cases and 28 probable cases.

Of McKean County’s 3,096 total cases of COVID-19, 2,333 have been confirmed cases and 763 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 9,932 negative tests.

Cameron County reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, with its total number of cases increasing from 264 to 266.

Both of Cameron County’s latest cases of COVID-19 were confirmed cases in the Emporium zip code of 15834. The zip code has now reported 155 confirmed cases and 75 probable cases.

Of Cameron County’s 266 total cases of COVID-19, 178 have been confirmed cases and 88 have been probable cases. The county has also reported 983 negative tests.

Three other area counties reported increases in their COVID-19 case totals on Friday. Clearfield County reported 26 new cases, with its total increasing to 6,581; Jefferson County reported three new cases, with its total increasing to 2,852; and Potter County reported one new case, with its total increasing to 961.

No new cases were reported in Forest or Warren counties on Friday.

There were 3,074 new cases of the virus reported statewide Friday. Pennsylvan­ia has now reported 961,456 total cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
