ECC track and field squads swept by Brookville
The Elk County Catholic High School girls’ and boys’ track and field teams were swept by squads from Brookville by identical 85-55 scores on Tuesday afternoon in a meet held at Elk County Catholic High School.
The Lady Crusaders had five individual event winners and also claimed victory in two of the relays.
Allison Geci won the girls’ shot put with a throw of 28 feet, 0.5 inches.
Grace Neubert won the girls’ 1600 run in a time of 6:01.
Madison Marzullo won the girls’ discus with a throw of 78 feet, 2 inches.
Sophia Bille won the girls’ 800 run in a time of 2:35.7.
Tori Newton won girls’ javelin with a throw of 89 feet, 6 inches.
The Lady Crusaders also won the 3200 relay in a time of 10:59.7 and the 1600 relay in a time of 4:40.9.
The had four
Crusaders individual event winners and also won one of the relays.
Alex Miller won the boys’ pole vault by clearing a height of 10 feet.
Alex Smith won the boys’ discus with a throw of 99 feet, 2.5 inches.
Adam Straub won the boys’ high jump with a jump of 5 feet, 6 inches.
Luke Sorg won the boys’ 200 meter dash in a time of 24.4.
The Crusaders also won the 3200 relay in a time of 9:22.2.
The ECC squads are next scheduled to be in action on Saturday when they travel to Union for a 10 a.m. meet.
