Keystone donates to local ambulance training program

-

A donation of five CPR manikins with extra supplies for training needs has been made by Keystone Powdered Metal Company to the local ambulance/EMT training program.

Shaylah Smith, GSP, Keystone’s safety engineer, recently presented the donation to Tom Tomaski, St. Marys Ambulance paramedic and EMT instructor.

Smith is the on-site CPR/FA/AED instructor for Keystone’s first response team.

“These manikins have been used for many years, and now that we have upgraded, we are no longer in need of the old set. I have been through several trainings myself with Tom and know that any donated supply is a blessing when holding large training courses like EMT or EMR,” Smith said. “Keystone’s culture has been to embrace recycling and donating items that are no longer needed. Knowing Tom personally, I thought this would be a great contribution to his training program and to the community on behalf of Keystone Powdered Metal Company.”
