When it came time to recap the ECC junior varsity volleyball team’s season during the school’s recent Fall Athletic Awards Program, varsity head coach Tricia Bauer addressed attendees on behalf of junior varsity head coach Vicki Struble, who was unable to attend.

According to Bauer, the junior varsity team had a fantastic year, going 14-0 with an undefeated regular season.

“They had a great tournament season, with a third place finish in Clarion, first place finish in Warren, and a second place finish at the ECC JV Tournament,” Bauer said.

This year’s junior varsity squad was made up of nine sophomores and seven freshmen. Sophomores on the team were Sydney Alexander, Reagan Bauer, Mackenzie Bille, Gracee Breindel, Kiri Emmert, Hailey Fleming, Sarah Hasselman, Lucy Klawuhn, and Isabella Macer. Freshmen on the team were Andrea Baron, Keira

Bauer, Alexa Chamberlin, Sarah Krise, Jordan Lasko, Mya Pistner, and Ashlynn Schutz.

The members of the team played hard and learned a lot, Bauer noted. She added that they also had a lot of fun and made a lot of great memories.

Bauer also noted that Struble expressed her gratitude to her assistant coach, Cassidy Cunningham, as well as to Bauer and varsity assistant coach Jill Kaul, for their help and advice throughout the season.
