PennDOT Elk County maintenance work schedule for May 2-6
RIDGWAY – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Elk County Maintenance announces the following work schedule for the week of May 2- 6, 2022, weather permitting. Motorists should travel with extra caution in these and all work areas. Motorists should be aware that due to the nature of highway maintenance and emergency work, crews could be working on any highway at any time of the day or night.
Maintenance work scheduled in Elk County includes:
•Sign upgrades – various roads countywide.
•Shoulder/cutting –
SR 255 (Bennetts Valley Hwy) and SR 555 (River Road)
•Crack/seal – SR 255 (Million Dollar Highway)
•Ditching – SR 1004, 1006 (Bendigo)
•Bridge cleaning – various roads countywide.
The following work is scheduled to be completed by contractor, weather permitting:
G.O. Hawbakerbinder leveling placement, SR3003 site 13 , basket replacement/ shoulder stabilization
Watch for slow moving and stopped vehicles through the entire work zone. Be cautious when traveling through the work zone and to obey posted speed limit.
