Victoria R. Peters, 68, of DuBois, died May 3,2022 at Penn Highlands-DuBois, following a short illness.

Born February 8, 1954 in Ridgway PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond B. and Victoria C. (Skrzypek) Gornati. On August 16, 1980, she married Kim A. Peters, who survives.

Vicki retired after 10 years from Joann Fabrics in DuBois. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Force, PA, where she had served as Eucharisti­c Minister.

Vicki is survived by two children: Shelley (Jim) Byron of Binghamton, NY and Michael (Alley) Peters of Niceville, FL; three grandchild­ren: Cassidy Peters, Lillian and James Byron, Jr.; one sister: Yvonne (Jerald) Pratt of Johnsonbur­g; two brothers: Ken (Jen) Gornati of Penfield and Mark (Connie) Gornati of DuBois; in-laws, Greg (Linda) Peters of Greenville, SC and Morris Peters of Oxford, OH; eight nieces; and five aunts.

Besides her parents, Vicki was predecease­d by: her in-laws, Murray and Marjorie Peters and Dean and

Nancy Peters.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. and on Saturday, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, 10 a.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA, with Fr. Mark Mastrian as celebrant.

The family suggests Memorial donations be made to St. Joseph Church, 17764 Bennetts Valley Hwy, Force, PA 15841 or the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA and will be accepting online condolence­s at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home website (www.ubelgeer.com).
