The St. Marys Senior Center is located at 104 Erie Ave. between Erie Avenue and Depot Street, directly across from the parking garage. This new street number (104) is a recent correction.

Contact Director, Lesa Lamb at 814-7813555 to find out more about the center. Stop in to pick-up your monthly menu and activity calendar. The director's hours are 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Coffee hour is 8:30-9:30 a.m. Activities generally take place between 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Please support your local center to keep it going. Anyone age 55 and over can become a member. Membership dues for 2022 are still being collected and are just $12.

Every Monday following lunch, materials for adult coloring are available.

The center is organizing a group to attend the Footlighte­rs of Elk County production of “Over the Tavern” on Thursday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at the Moose Club in St. Marys. Tickets are $15. Stretch and Strength, easy exercise class, meets Tuesdays at 10:15-11:15 a.m. There is no charge. A special eight session exercise program on Fridays at 10:15 a.m.began on April 22. See Lesa to get registered. Call to check on card games and to put your name on the list, especially Pinochle. Also, we would like to start up Hand and Foot/Canasta. Call if interested. Informatio­n sheets on good healthy habits, Medicare and self-improvemen­t are handed out regularly..

The suggested donation for meals is $4 per meal. However, you can donate an amount you can afford. Participan­ts need to be age 60 and older and must complete a registrati­on form to be eligible for the discounted price. Others can eat for a $6.50 fee.

MENU: Order meals by 12:45 p.m. the day before at the latest. Announceme­nts begin at 11:45 followed by lunch. May 9, pepper steak; May 10, grilled chicken salad; May 11 Swedish meatballs; May 12 lemon pepper fish; May 13, Hawaiian pork loin; May 16, beef taco salad; May 17—deadline to order the holiday meal being served on May 24; May 17, pot roast; May 18, Teriyaki Chicken; May 19, spaghetti and meatballs; May 20, egg omelet and sausage; May 23, warm beef and cheddar sandwich.
