Senior recital featuring Stanish

-

Moira Stanisch, a senior at Elk County Catholic High School, will present her very own Senior Piano Recital on Friday, May 13th at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road in St. Marys. The recital is open to the public. Admission is a donation at the door.

Tracie Pretak, Grace Notes Studio owner and teacher, shared, “Moira has been a piano student of mine since August 2011. She has been one of my hardest-working students ever and, as a result, advanced very quickly. She has won a STAR Award every single year, including a few of my top studio trophies - Piano Rookie of the Year, Ambition Award, Ambassador Award, and Piano Student of the Year. From her early performances until now, she has been a standout and fan favorite at my studio concerts, and she has inspired many other students to work hard and excel in music.”

This recital will celebrate the uniqueness of Moira as a musician and artist. The program was chosen by her and will feature multiple genres. She will certainly entertain the audience with Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag” and impress you with “The Joyful Peasant” - a theme and variations arrangement of Schumann’s “The Happy Farmer.” She will showcase her technical skills on “Nocturne, Op. 72, No. 1” by Chopin and her artistic interpretation on “Moonlight Sonata” by Beethoven. She has several other pieces ready to roll, including some audience favorites like “Piano Man” by Billy Joel and “Home Sweet Home” by Mötley Crüe.

Moira is an experienced performer and has provided wonderful entertainment for area audiences for 11 years. Be a music fan and come support this amazing artist!

Moira is the daughter of Max and Laura Stanisch of Kane.
