John E. “Jack” Biel, 75, of Old Klondike Road, Johnsonbur­g, went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2022 at UPMC Hamot in Erie surrounded by his family.

He was born to the late Walter and Elsie (Jordan) Biel on June 4, 1946 in Kane, PA. Jack attended Johnsonbur­g/ Wilcox area schools.

On October 10, 1964 he married his forever love Cindy (Jones) Biel, who survives, and they resided in Johnsonbur­g for the past 57 years. Besides his loving wife, Jack is survived by a daughter Tammy (Van) Chamberlin of Wilcox, PA and a son Jon (Bonnie) Biel of Landenberg, PA. Four grandchild­ren Robert Bauer of Johnsonbur­g, Hayley (Jon) Smith of Stocktbn, CA, Travis (Amanda) Asti of Johnsonbur­g and Tyler Biel of Landenberg, PA. Six great-grandchild­ren, Aubrianna, Madison and Kailee Smith and Landon, Alan and Octavia Bauer. Two sisters, Bonnie Sorg of Johnsonbur­g and Nancy Guenther of Florida. Also, his faithful companion, Coco.

Jack was definitely a “Jack of all trades”, he made his living working for Powder Metal Products, retiring in 2012 after 40 years of service. He was a selftaught carpenter who enjoyed working with many people over the years with add-on’s, remodeling or whatever they needed. He also spent a few years driving bus for ATA. He loved to travel, especially going to the beach, going on many cruises over the years, and most recently traveling to Jamaica.

Along with his parents, Jack was predecease­d by one brother Robert Biel, two step brothers William and Frank Austin, one sister Patricia Nelson and one step sister Clara Milks.

There will be no public visitation.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonbur­g.

Funeral services will be held, 11 a.m., Monday, at the Funeral Home with Robert Johnson.

Interment will take place in the Wardvale Methodist Cemetery of Johnsonbur­g.
