City to hold public meeting for CDBG program modifications
The City of St. Marys is proposing a modification to their 2020CV Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application as administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED). The Community and Economic Development Coordinator is seeking feedback from the community on the following Proposed Program Modifications:
• Remove Guardian Angel Shoe Voucher Program
• Remove Guardian Angel PPE and Supplies Program
• Remove Utility Assistance Program
• Reallocate funds to Christian Food Bank
In accordance with the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the PA Department of Community and Economic Development, the City of St. Marys has scheduled two public meeting times for residents to express their opinions on both proposed projects on: Monday February 13, 2023 at 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the Main Council Chambers in the basement of City Hall located at 11 LaFayette Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 Again, two meeting times are scheduled for Monday February 13, 2023 to accommodate resident’s work schedules and to give residents the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the proposed modification.
All interested residents are encouraged to attend the public meeting, at one of the convenient times listed above, and express their views on the proposed program modification. Persons with disabilities who wish to attend the hearing and require special services may contact City Hall at 814-781-1718 ext. 225 for accommodation.
St. Marys City Council will consider all comments presented prior to the adoption of the program modification at their meeting, also, on Monday February 20, 2023 at 7 p.m. If you are unable to attend the public meeting at either time listed above, we will accept written comments. All written comments should be sent to City Hall, Attn: Tina Gradizzi, Director of Community Development, 11 LaFayette Street, St. Marys, PA 15857. Comments should be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday February 20, 2023.
