SMA swim and dive teams fell to Brookville on Senior Night

The St. Marys Area High School girls' and boys' swim and dive teams fell to Brookville in a Senior Night meet held at the St. Marys Area High School natatorium on Friday. The Lady Raiders defeated the Lady Dutch 96-83, and the Raiders defeated the Dutchmen 63-56.

Sophia Condon was a four-event winner for the Lady Dutch. Condon placed first in both the 200 IM and 500 freestyle and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams. Condon's win in the 200 IM was a close one as she edged Brookville's Cora Parson by .23. Condon had a winning time in the event of 2:35.51, and Parson was second in 2:35.74.

Gabby Pistner was a three-event winner for the Lady Dutch. Pistner placed first in the 200 freestyle and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.

Sarah Krise was also a three-event winner for the Lady Dutch. Krise placed first in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay team.

Allison Geci was a two-event winner for the Lady Dutch as a member of both the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.

Katie Petrosky was a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay team, and Lilliana McKay placed first in diving.

Jeff Schaut was a four-event winner for the Dutchmen. Schaut placed first in the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.

Jason McAnany was a three-event winner for the Dutchmen. McAnany won the 100 backstroke and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.

McAnany was also a close second in the 200 IM. Brookville's Brody Barto won the event in 2:18.85, and McAnany was the runner-up in 2:18.94.

James Pistner was also a three-event winner for the Dutchmen. Pistner placed first in the 50 freestyle and was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.

Dawson Krug was a two-event winner for the Dutchmen as a member of the winning 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay teams.

The St. Marys Area girls' and boys' swim and dive teams have three meets remaining on their schedule. They will be in action on the road against Bradford on Thursday at 6 p.m., host Clearfield on Feb. 14 at 6 p.m., and then travel to DuBois on Feb. 16 at 6 p.m.
