Upcoming meals for eat-in only include: March 13-Roasted pork with apples, whipped potatoes with chives, mixed vegetables, mini biscuit with apple butter and cookie; March 14-Swedish meatballs, buttered noodles, peas, roll and fresh fruit; March 15-Chili, tossed salad, corn bread and applesauce; March 16Taco salad, with tortilla chips, corn with pimentos and pineapple; March 17-Baked cod, mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes and fresh fruit ; March 20-Baked chicken breast; March 21-Sweet and sour pork; March 22-Stuffed pepper; March 23-Sloppy Joe; March 24-Chef Salad and vegetable soup.

St. Marys Senior Center

The St. Marys Senior Center is located at 104 Erie Ave. between Erie Avenue and Depot Street, directly across from the parking garage. Contact Director, Lesa Lamb at 781-3555 to find out more about the center. Stop in to pick-up your monthly menu and activity calendar. The director’s hours are 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Coffee hour is 8:309:30 a.m. Activities generally take place between 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Please support your local center to keep it going. Anyone age 55 and over can become a member. Membership dues are being collected for 2023. Make Checks payable to SMSC.

Stretch and Strength, easy exercise class, meets Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:15-11:15 a.m. There is no charge. Call to check on games and to put your name on the list, especially Hand and Foot/Canasta now being played on Mondays after lunch. Left-Right-Center Thursdays at 12:30. Fridays - Color or Craft after lunch. Stop in and win big! 50-50 Fridays at the center.

Informatio­n sheets on good healthy habits, Medicare and self-improvemen­t are handed out regularly.

Upcoming events include: Tuesday, March 14, 12:20 p.m. program with Ray Beimel, the March 6 program has been cancelled; March 15, 12:30 Treasure BINGO. Bring a wrapped item.

Your lunch reservatio­n is binding and you are responsibl­e for the meal if you don’t attend. The suggested donation for meals is $4 per meal. Participan­ts need to be age 60 or older and must complete a registrati­on form to be eligible for the discounted price. Others can eat for a $6.50 fee. All centers have changed over to a “touch screen” meal ordering system. Stop in for a demo and to get your I.D. card. Meals must be ordered by 12 p.m. the day before at the latest. Announceme­nts begin at 11:45 a.m. followed by lunch.

Fox Township Senior Center

The Fox Township Senior Center is location at 365 Main St. Kersey and can be reached at 814-8858111.

Please note there are new menu items, come and try them out. 2023 dues are now due only $10 per year.

Activities for March include: Bingo at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday; knit and crochet at 10:30 a.m. every Thursday; first Friday of every month Cash Bash Friday live music by Jim Shaffer at 10:30 a.m.; March 21-Music by Denny Iorfida & Friends at 10:30 a.m. Mach 23-Dice games with Sue at 10 a.m. March 24-Crochet at 10 a.m. March 27-Cinch at 9:30 a.m. March 28-Music by Jim Shaffer & Friends at 10:30 a.m. March 31-Crochet at 10 a.m.

We would like to see a large crowd for all the activities at the center to show our entertaine­rs that we greatly appreciate them.

The Fox Twp Senior Center is looking for meals on wheels drivers, please call the center for more informatio­n 814-885-8111.

The Fox Twp Senior Center is making Easter Eggs every Thursday and Friday at 9 a.m. volunteers needed.

We will be doing preorders only by calling 814-885-8111. Peanut Butter or Coconut $6 for a half dozen $11 per dozen. Last day to order is March 20. Pickup dates are April 4 and 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Johnsonbur­g Senior Center

The Johnsonbur­g Senior Center is open from 8:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Join in for cards at 12:30 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mexican Train and Dominoes are Friday at 12:30 p.m. There is line dancing on Mondays at 12 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. A Stretch and Strength class is held at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays. It is light exercises and muscle strengthen­ing that can be done in a chair. Knitting Club meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. Club Bingo is the second Friday of every month at 6:30 p.m.

Activities for March include: March 13, Movie Monday at 9:30 a.m.; March 14, Pound Bingo at 10:30 a.m. and membership meeting at birthday party at 12:30 p.m.; March 15, RLC game at 10:30 a.m.; March 16, St. Patrick’s Day party with Pete Largey performing at 10:30 a.m.; March 17, wear your green.

The center is looking for more card players for Cinch, 500 and Pinochle. Call the club for more informatio­n.

Please order lunch by 12:30 p.m. the business day prior to the meal by calling 814965-5638. A minimum donation of $4 is suggested to help cover the cost of the meal. Lunch is served at 11:45 a.m.

Bennetts Valley Senior Center

The Bennetts Valley Senior Center is located at 149 Plum Street in Weedville.

The center is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mindy Krulia is the director. She can be reached at 814787-7888 during center hours.

Come and join our Coffee Club, the first Monday of the month, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Blood pressure checks are available for free the second Thursday of the month at 11 a.m. Every Monday at 11 a.m. is chair yoga. Bingo is every Tuesday at 1 p.m.

Upcoming activities for March include: Healthy Steps for Older Adults Workshop. You must be signed up to attend. Call the center if you would like to attend. March 13 a visit from Bennetts Valley Elementary School students at 10 a.m. for a musical performanc­e and an adult bullying program with Renee from Ameri-Health. March 14 is St. Patrick’s Day Bingo at 11:15 a.m. March 16, we will be making chocolate leprechaun hats.(sign up is required). March 23 we will be playing “Lets Golf” at 11 a.m. Other activities always available are: Wii Bowling, golf, baseball, puzzles, word search, TV. Come have a good cup of coffee and enjoy the socializat­ion.

Lunch is served daily at 12 p.m. You must be registered to sign up for lunch. If you are not registered and would like to eat lunch, please call the center and we will register you. You must be signed up the day prior by 12:30 p.m. Lunch is by donation. Suggested donation is $4. You must be sixty or older and complete a registrati­on to be eligible for the discounted price. All others can Eat for the regular price of $6.50.

Membership dues for 2023 are $10.

The director would love to see the center filled for the above programs to show our appreciati­on to anyone who comes and gives up their time to educate or perform for our seniors.

We are always in need of volunteers! Kitchen volunteers are needed to fill in at times. Lunch is already prepared; it just needs served. If you would like to find out more about volunteeri­ng, please call Mindy or stop in during center hours.
