Grants from ECCF’s Johnsonburg Area Endowment Fund now available

The Johnsonburg Area Endowment Fund, held at the Elk County Community Foundation (ECCF), is now accepting grant applications for the current granting cycle. The deadline to apply is June 30, 2023. Grants are awarded through an open, competitive grant process open to any 501c3 organization, school, municipality or organized religion that benefits the residents of the Johnsonburg Area School District.

The Johnsonburg Area Endowment Fund awarded its first grants in 2022. Grants were given to the Girl Scouts of Western PA for recruitment and membership, to Johnsonburg Borough to remove debris from the Johnsonburg Hotel, to Johnsonburg Borough Police for new office furniture, to Johnsonburg Community Trust to help rehabilitate retail space on Market Street, to Johnsonburg Fire Department

for Ipad and software, and to Johnsonburg Little League to construct bathroom facilities.

The fund was newly established in 2021 with a check from the sale of the Johnsonburg Community TV Company to add to the Johnsonburg Area Endowment Fund that benefits the residents of the Johnsonburg Area School District in the coming years.
