Sunday, April 14th, 12pm-2pm Antler Craft (Make and Take)

One of the biggest questions at the Elk Country Visitor Center is, “when do the elk shed their antlers?” The answer to that question is easy! Elk shed their antlers between the months of March and April. Finding an antler, whether its an elk or a deer, can be quite the challenge for any young or old antler shed hunter. So, the Elk Country Visitor Center may have a solution. Come join the ConEd staff as we build our very own antler cross-section or point necklace, keychain, or mirror decoration!

Saturday, April 20th, 2pm All About Turkeys

With turkey season right around the corner, it’s just a matter of time until we hear the sound of gobbles echoing through the woods. Join Mercy from the Pennsylvania Game Commission to learn all about turkeys and their unique behaviors during this special time of year. Afterwards, we’ll have a craft for our young wilderness explorers.

Although Earth Day is tomorrow, that doesn’t mean the Elk Country Visitor Center isn’t going to find a way to celebrate our planet! Come join the Keystone Elk Country
