Proclamati­on and awarding of bids among items on City Council agenda

ST. MARYS Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month will be recognized by the City of St. Marys on Monday evening during the regular monthly meeting of St. Marys City Council.

A proclamati­on will be issued noting the city’s observance of the safety initiative.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the council room situated in the basement of city hall.

Under legislativ­e action council will awards bids for several projects including the Center Street sidewalk replacemen­t project, the replacemen­t of a third floor air handling unit in city hall, stone and road oil.

They will review a request for a 2024 tax credit sent by the St. Mary’s Church.

Council will also discuss a major subdivisio­n for Kline Real Estate LLC for South Michael and Beech Roads.

These items are in addition to the regular agenda items including any topics for discussion, citizen comments on non-agenda topics and council comments along with the approval of minutes from council’s regular monthly meeting on March 18.

The City Council meeting will be broadcast on the City television channel, Zito Media 96.2 and live streamed on The River 98.9 website.

Citizens are encouraged to provide comments on agenda topics prior to the meeting by emailing info@stmaryspa.gov or mailing to City Hall Attn: Public Comment, 11 LaFayette St.

The City Council meeting agenda can be found on the City’s website www. stmaryspa.gov under the City Council tab.

Council will conduct their next regular meeting on Monday, May 20 at 7 p.m. in the council room in the basement of city hall.
