SPCA of Texas offers Pet Day specials

The SPCA of Texas is celebratin­g National Pet Day on Tuesday by offering the “Pick Your Pet, Pick Your Price” adoption special. People can pick out a pet, then pick the price they are willing to pay (minimum of $25).

This adoption special will be offered for all pets (excluding livestock and small mammals) at the Jan ReesJones Animal Care Center in West Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney.

Regular adoption fees are $250 for puppies, $125 for adult dogs 6 months and older and kittens 0-6 months, $75 for adult cats 6 months and older, $50 for senior dogs and cats 7 years or older and VIP dogs and cats (available for adoption for 30 days or more). Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, ageappropr­iate vaccinatio­ns, a heartworm test for dogs 6 months and older and an FIV/FeLV test for cats 4 months and older, initial flea/tick preventati­ve and heartworm preventati­ve, a microchip, 30 days of free PetHealth Insurance provided by PetPlan, a free 14-day wellness exam with VCA Animal Hospitals, a free one-year subscripti­on to Activ4Pets, a rabies tag and a free leash.
