Ex-Ranger reported missing found next day
ATLANTA — Former Rangers outfielder Otis Nixon, who went missing last weekend, was located, police said Monday.
Nixon was “safe,” said Brittany Duncan, a spokeswoman for police in Woodstock, a suburb northwest of Atlanta. She had no other details other than to say there was no foul play involved.
Nixon, 58, was last seen around 10 a.m. Saturday leaving his home in Woodstock, police said. He never arrived for his tee time.
Nixon played for the Rangers in 1995, hitting .295 and stealing 50 bases. He played for nine teams in 17 major league seasons.
