R.J. Hampton, Little Elm: The five-star recruit is ranked as the No. 1 point guard and the No. 3 player overall in the nation in the Class of 2020 by 247Sports.com. He leads the Dallas area in scoring at 30.0 points per game, averages 8.7 rebounds and 6.0 assists and has made 79 3-pointers for a 26-7 team that is ranked seventh in the state in 5A. Hampton has taken unofficial visits to Duke, Kansas and Oklahoma State, according to 247Sports.com. Teammate Javian Williams averages 14.3 points and 6.1 assists and has hit 97 3-pointers. Pearce: The four-star recruit is rated the 18th-best power forward in the nation in the Class of 2019. The 6-9 Timme ranks fourth in the area in scoring at 24.5 points and leads the area in rebounds (16.5 per game). He has scored 27 or more in eight straight games and has averaged 32.6 points per game in that span for the state’s 24th-ranked 6A team.
Samuell Williamson, Rockwall: The four-star recruit ranks fifth in the Dallas area in scoring, averaging 23.3 points per game. He is rated the 16thbest shooting guard in the nation in the Class of 2019 and is taking an unofficial visit to Kansas this weekend. Rockwall finished one game behind District 11-6A champion Rockwall-Heath but closed the regular season by beating Heath 84-81 as Williamson scored 28 points and Alec Grandstaff had 29.
