Firm expands to Collin County
Expect to see more Allie Beth Allman & Associates signs in front yards of homes in Collin County, said a company spokesperson. The firm, which is ranked No. 1 in the Park Cities and Preston Hollow, according to MLS statistics, is expanding to the rapidly growing northern suburban communities. Veteran agents Joel Gabrelow and Carol Taylor, who have spent their professional careers serving clients in buying and selling homes in communities from Plano to McKinney, have joined the Allman firm.
Last year, Allman, an affiliate of Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, opened a Lakewood office to serve the East Dallas communities and a Southlake office in northeast Tarrant County.
“We are excited to have a larger presence in Collin County,” said Allie Beth Allman, president and CEO. “So many of our clients and the children of clients are looking for homes in communities like McKinney, Allen and Frisco. It is natural that we would expand there. Joel and Carol are outstanding professionals who will represent our clients well.”
Many nationally known companies, including Toyota Motor Co. and State Farm Insurance, are relocating to Collin County, as are their employees.
Gabrelow, a veteran of the real estate and financial services businesses, has an eye for quality. His vast knowledge of appraisals, loans and finance comes from his experience as a vice president with two commercial banks. He also appraised assets for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and was the CEO of an electronics contract manufacturing firm. For fun and profit, Gabrelow is also a rare coin and precious metals expert and author.
Taylor grew up in a family where real estate was the only business for 65 years. Her father was the president of the Los Angeles Board of Realtors.
“My father and his brother had one of the largest residential real estate brokerage firms in Los Angeles,” said Taylor. “Dad lived real estate all his life and worked until he was 90. Like my Dad, I have a strong work ethic. My integrity is at the heart of all my relationships with clients, co-workers, friends and acquaintances.”
The husband-and-wife team said they joined the Allman firm because “it is so highly regarded.”
Being affiliated with Buffett, the Allman firm is well known in the Dallas market and will soon be the top firm in Allen, Fairview, Frisco, Lucas, McKinney, Plano and Prosper, they said.
What also sold the Realtors on the Allman firm is its focus on supporting its agents, said Gabrelow.
“Everyone we have met at the firm is terrific,” he said.
