A golf tale of two cities
Re: “Plenty of green secures PGA deal — $160M in incentives lands ‘Silicon Valley of golf,’” Wednesday news story.
The city of Dallas invested $12 million into the development of Trinity Forest Golf Club in part, because, they hope the new course will be a catalyst for the Grow South initiative. How’s that working for us?
Instead, Frisco scores a couple of holesin-one as the PGA plans to leave Florida and build its headquarters along with a couple of 18-hole premier courses and a hotel. Dallas has an elite club, a commitment to host the AT&T Byron Nelson Tournament and no hotel in the vicinity. Dallas scores a boondoggle double bogie! Congratulations, Frisco!
