Amarillo man indicted in fatal knifing of wife
An Amarillo man has been indicted in a deadly stabbing that targeted his estranged wife and a man he referred to as her “new boy toy,” authorities say.
Jude Edward Samora, 25, was indicted Nov. 28 on capital murder and aggravated assault charges in Randall County, KFDA-TV reported.
The CBS affiliate reported that Samora killed his wife and stabbed a man at an apartment in the 4400 block of South Colter Street on Sept. 14. Julianne Samora, 22, died at the scene.
Court documents obtained by KFDA say a witness saw Samora carrying a “Rambo”style knife, which his sister-inlaw described as being longer than 6 inches.
The grand jury also indicted Jonathan Klause, 24, on charges of capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the crime, KFDA reported. It was unclear how he knew the Samoras.
Samora and Klause were in the Randall County Jail.
