Argyle Liberty Christian boys won the TAPPS 6A tennis championsh­ip.

Trevor Vaccaro and Ben Ward won the TAPPS 6A boys tennis doubles title Tuesday in Waco to lead Argyle Liberty Christian to a firstplace team finish. Vaccaro and Ward beat Sherwin Rasekh and Vivek Saran of Houston Awty in the final.

Kate Musselman and Daniela Perales of Parish Episcopal won the 6A girls doubles title.

Liberty Christian’s Trey Wells finished second in the singles competitio­n, and John Paul II’S Jake Vo was a semifinali­st, helping his school to a thirdplace finish in 6A.

The John Paul II girls finished second in the 6A team competitio­n behind Houston St. Agnes.

Katherine Marks was the 6A girls singles runnerup, while Joanna Leitch of Ursuline was a semifinali­st.

Cole Stokes’ runnerup finish in the boys singles competitio­n helped Fort Worth Christian nab third place in 5A.

Claire Bullington and Kay Lee Sedwick of Arlington Grace Prep finished second in the 4A girls doubles tournament.
