If you have yet to check out downtown Mckinney, we’ ll let you in on a notsowellkept secret. The historic arts district is booming with culture and class, and this longrunning spring arts festival will showcase the city’s recent catapult into coolness. Stroll through treelined streets and restored 19thcentury buildings that have been transformed into cafes, bars, boutiques, galleries and restaurants. The Local Artist Village will feature 150 juried artists, and the Student Art Tent will exhibit work by schoolage talents on the rise. Enjoy live music, dance and performance art, as well as festival food, craft beer and Texas wine. Children can explore interactive artmaking in a Kids Creation Station.
