DALLAS ARTS DISTRICT BLOCK PARTY
Twelve LED seesaws are up (and down) for public experimentation in a spectacular interactive installation at the this outdoor celebration of Dallas Arts Month. Manipulate the artsy playground equipment’s light and sound, and watch choreography by Dark Circles Contemporary Dance that engages with the display. The block party, with a Changing Perspectives theme, takes place along Flora Street and features performances by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble, Dezi5, Tippy Balady and others. Also enjoy gourmet food trucks, local beer, a photo booth and a community mural.
April 12 (changed from April 13 because of weather concerns) from 6 p.m. to midnight in the Dallas Arts District along Flora Street between Routh and Leonard streets in Dallas. Free. dallasartsdistrict.org/community/ dallasartsdistrictblockparty.
