There’s more to life than fun — namely, health and fitness to help keep the good times coming. The festival grounds

at this ambitious annual community celebratio­n will be divided into areas focusing on things that make living in Desoto grand. Among them: a Pet Zone with a petting area and animal adoptions; a Safe Zone with SWAT robotics demonstrat­ions and firetruck displays; a Marketplac­e Zone with more than 15 food trucks; and a Kid Zone with Knocker Ball competitio­ns, a 60foot obstacle course, a video game truck and inflatable­s featuring a giant gorilla and T. rex. There will also be face painting, cooking demos, a rockclimbi­ng wall, live music, a car show and BMX display, free eye screenings and more.
