at this ambitious annual community celebration will be divided into areas focusing on things that make living in Desoto grand. Among them: a Pet Zone with a petting area and animal adoptions; a Safe Zone with SWAT robotics demonstrations and firetruck displays; a Marketplace Zone with more than 15 food trucks; and a Kid Zone with Knocker Ball competitions, a 60foot obstacle course, a video game truck and inflatables featuring a giant gorilla and T. rex. There will also be face painting, cooking demos, a rockclimbing wall, live music, a car show and BMX display, free eye screenings and more.
April 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Desoto East Middle School, 601 E. Belt Line Road, Desoto. Free admission; food truck prices vary. desotochamber.org.
