Russell Scira

Tucson, Ariz.— Russell John Scira, born in Hartford on Sept. 5, 1944, passed on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013.

He moved to Tucson with his family in 1971. Russell worked with air conditioning systems and retired from Hughes Missile Systems in 2009. Russ was full of life and lived it to the fullest. He was a lover of classic cars and enjoyed working on household projects with his family. He loved to take trips with his dogs Petey and Anna.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Albert Scira and Jeannette Marie Fontaine; his wife, Betty Scira; and his son, Allen Scira.

He is survived by his son, Eric and daughter-in-law, Christine; daughter-in-law, Ame; granddaughter, Danielle; sister and brotherin-law, Barbara and Henry Fredella; and niece, Michele Cedio; and his good friend, Janice Hardin.

We would like to thank our friends at Bayada and Carondelet for the loving care that they gave Russ.

A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at The Oasis Church, 8961 E. Tanque Verde Road, Tucson, AZ 85746 on the west end of the Bear Canyon Center.
