LYME GRAND LIST DROPS 15.6% AFTER REVAL

Lyme — The 2013 grand list of taxable properties in town decreased by 15.6 percent to $513,668,184, following a revaluation. The 2012 grand list of total taxable properties stood at $608,635,084. Real estate assessments for 2013 decreased by 16.5 percent, to $485,428,190. Personal property increased by 10.7 percent, to $6,207,434, and motor vehicle assessments increased by 1.3 percent, to $22,032,560. Tax Assessor Debra Yeomans said the last revaluation in 2008 raised assessments, so assessments consequently came back down in the 2013 revaluation. The top 10 taxpayers in town for 2013 are: 1.
