Lebanon — Franklyn Francis Wolfe, 91, of Exeter Road, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, New London.

Frank was born May 2, 1923, in New London, the son of the late Frank and Edith (Falvey) Wolfe; he lived most of his life in New London, only recently moving to Lebanon.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Force from 1943-46 in England. He worked at Electric Boat for more than 38 years as a clerk in the electrical department, retiring in 1988.

He is survived by six nephews, Tony, Russell, Edwin and Frank Kasacek of Connecticu­t and Tom and Sammy Wolfe of Hawaii; many grandniece­s and nephews; cousins, Ann, Margaret, Anna and George of New London, Frank of Waterford, and Lawrence of Ogunquit, Maine.

He was predecease­d by his parents and two brothers, Thomas and William; and a sister, Catherine Kasacek.

He enjoyed watching the Yankees and spending time with his family and friends. His biggest joy in his life was gardening and bird watching. He would spend hours in his garden.

In lieu of flowers, please plant a vegetable or a flower in his name.

The family would like to thank the staff of Davita Dialysis, who took care of him for 14½ years, and the staff of Lawrence + Memorial and The William W. Backus Hospital.

A grave side service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, in St. Mary Cemetery, Jefferson Avenue, New London. There are no calling hours.

The Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Ave., New London is assisting the family with the arrangemen­ts.
