-

Keith Rocco won two more feature races during the weekly NASCAR Whelen AllAmerican Series racing program at the Waterford Speedbowl on Saturday night.

Rocco captured a special 40-lap SK Modified feature and also won the 30-lap Late Model race.

Rocco moved from fourth to second by lap 6 of the SK Modified feature, then challenged Tim Jordan for four laps before moving to the front exiting turn two on lap 10. He remained in front following the race’s final restart on lap 12 and pulled away from the field. Craig Lutz finished second and Ted Christopher was third.

Rocco also added a win in the Late Model feature, his sixth of the season but his first in five races. Rocco ran second to Bruce Thomas Jr. of Groton prior to a caution on lap 16. He held off Jason Palmer, who was trying for his third straight win, over a green-whitecheckered flag finish. Old Lyme’s Jeff Smith finished third.

Lee won his first race in the Mini Stocks, starting from the pole and never trailing over the 25-lap race whle Coates earned his 83rd Speedbowl career win in the Truck Series race, Churchill returned to Victory Lane in the SK Light Modifieds and Galvin won his fifth Street Stock feature in six weeks.
